“CanSat” is “simulated” satellite of 350ml juice cans size. Some empty juice cans mounted with battery, microcomputer, communication device, sensor, GPS, is launch using a small rocket. It performs data acquisition and communication experiments while it is falling to the ground.

ARLISS

A Rocket Launch for International Student Satellites

Suborbital experiments of 350ml can sized satellites (CanSats) and rovers to train young engineers. CanSats/rovers are released from amateur rockets (launched by Aeropac) and it has to reach a designated point autonomously using ground or air-locomotion. UNISEC supports Japanese laboratories/organisations to design and develop CanSats and to participate in ARLISS launch opportunities.
