The 3rd Nano-Satellite Symposium is co-hosted by the city of Kitakyushu.
Kitakyushu lies in the northern part of Fukuoka Prefecture which is the northern most prefecture of Kyushu, the third largest island of Japan and most southwesterly of its four main islands. Since the ancient times, Kitakyushu City has served as an international gateway city.
Kokura Station, the city’s central train station, is the penultimate stop on the JR West Sanyō Shinkansen before the Fukuoka terminus.
Kokura Castle小倉城(Kokura-jō)
Kokura Castle, the landmark of the Kitakyushu was built by Lord Hosokawa Tadaoki in 1602 which is located 10 minutes walk from JR Kokura Station. The castle was burnt down in 1865 in the war between the Kokura and Chōshū clans and was restored in 1990.
Kitakyushu International Conference Center, the symposium site is conveniently located, just 5 minitues walk from JR Kokura Station’s North Exit.
All sessions of the symposium will be held at the Main Hall in the Kitakyushu International Conference Center.
